The Long Wilcox State Farm Insurance Agency, Kimberly L Wilcox, Agent, opened its doors on December 1, 2000.

I began my career with State Farm in 1996 in claims in Ft. Worth, Tx. During my time in claims, I gained knowledge of the industry and quickly realized that State Farm trained their representatives to find coverage for policyholders and claimants, rather than finding a loophole for denial. It became clear to me that I wanted to be a State Farm Agent. I had a desire to represent an insurance company that not only displayed financial strength, but integrity. In 1998, I joined the Agency Field Office Management team in New Orleans, La. as an Agency Field Specialist. In this role, I worked directly with area State Farm Agents, assisting agents in training their teams and helping them meet production goals. After four years with State Farm Insurance Companies, I was given the opportunity to become a State Farm Agent.

After 17 years in the Baton Rouge community, The Long Wilcox Insurance Agency relocated to Gonzales, La. in 2017. My team and I continue to service policyholders throughout Baton Rouge, Ascension, Livingston and Orleans Parishes and throughout the state of Louisiana.

I am a proud 2nd generation State Farm Agent. My father, Carroll Long, retired from State Farm in 2007 after 30 years of service as an Agent in Lafayette, La. and Longview, Tx. My father n' law, David Wilcox, retired in 2018 after 41 years of service in Gonzales, La. I am honored to continue my father and David's' legacies, providing unparalleled service to my policyholders.

My greatest joy and privilege is being a wife and mother. I married Garris David Wilcox, State Farm Agent in Denham Springs, La. in 2003. We welcomed daughter Caroline Wilcox in 2004 and daughter Ann Garris in 2008. We have a rescue brindle Boxer named Livvy who happily and enthusiastically serves as our agency team mascot! GEAUX Livvy!

Why our agency? My team and I are passionate about educating our customers about insurance, helping them to uncover their needs and presenting choices that meet their budget. After personally witnessing the catastrophic losses of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and others, as well as the Flood of 2016, I know the importance of having proper coverage in place for the unexpected. We have over 100 years of cumulative experience in the insurance business, and this is what 100% sets us apart from the competition! My team and I are knowledgeable, caring and appreciate the opportunity each policyholder has given me to be their insurance agent. We also love to help our customers with relocation to the area!
